The Czech Finance Ministry has said that a DTA with Denmark was signed on August 25, 2011. The treaty will replace the 1982 DTA which was signed between Denmark and the then Czechoslovakia.

The TIEA covers taxes of every kind, and provides for the exchange of information relevant to the determination, assessment and collection of taxes, the recovery and enforcement of tax claims, and the investigation/prosecution of tax matters. The TIEA also provides for the exchange of information held by banks and other financial institutions, and information regarding the ownership of companies, partnerships, trusts and foundations.
Treaty Update: Denmark - Hungary

The DTA will replace the current agreement, signed in 1978. The main change is in relation to the provisions covering the taxation of payments from private pension plans. Previously, the agreement had assumed that private pensions are taxed where the pensioner resides, but, with the new agreement, they will be taxed where they are paid. Transitional provisions also aply. The Danish government is expected to submit a draft bill for the DTA's approval in October, 2011.
