Macau and Australia signed a TIEA on July 12, 2011. The TIEA is Macau's 12th, and Australia now has 30 such agreements.


Treaty Update: Australia - Costa Rica

The OECD has said that Australia and Costa Rica signed a TIEA on July 1, 2011. The agreement is Costa Rica's 12th TIEA. According to the Costa Rican Finance Ministry, this removes Costa Rica from the OECD's list of those states not co-operating in the exchange of tax information.

Treaty Update: Liechtenstein - Australia

According to the Liechtenstein government, a TIEA with Australia was signed on June 21, 2011. The TIEA is OECD compliant and provides for the exchange of tax information upon request. The government has said that the TIEA will apply to requests submitted after its entry into force, with respect to tax years commencing on or after July 1, 2011. The TIEA is subject to legislative approval.
