The treaty contains residency, permanent establishment, immovable property income, business profit, international transport rules, and provides for the elimination of double taxation and for the exchange of information, and has a mutual agreement procedure. Dividend withholding tax is charged at 8%. Interest withholding tax is charged at 8%. Royalties withholding tax is charged at 8%.

In Bahrain the DTA covers income tax payable under Amiri Decree No.22/1979. In the UK the DTA applies to income tax, corporation tax and capital gains tax. The treaty contains residency, permanent establishment, immovable property income, business profit, international transport rules, and provides for the elimination of double taxation and for the exchange of information, and has a mutual agreement procedure. Dividend withholding tax is charged at 15%; 0% in the case of pension schemes where dividends are paid out of income derived from immovable property by an investment vehicle which distributes most of this income annually and where such income is tax exempt. Royalties withholding tax is not charged.

Dividend withholding tax is charged at 10%. Interest withholding tax is charged at : 10% in most cases; 0% in the case of the governments or central banks. Royalty withholding tax is charged at 10%.

In Bahrain, the treaty covers income tax payable under the Amiri Decree No.22/1979, and in Austria, it covers, income tax, corporation tax, land tax, tax on agricultural and forestry enterprises, and the tax on the value of vacant plots. The treaty contains residency, permanent establishment, immovable property income, business profit, pensions and international transport rules, and provides for the elimination of double taxation and for the exchange of information, and has a mutual agreement procedure. Dividend, interest and royalties withholding taxes are not charged.

The DTA is intended to address taxation issues arising in relation to the flow of business and any movement of people between the Isle of Man and Bahrain, and follows the OECD model text. In the Isle of Man, the DTA applies to income and profit taxes, and in Bahrain, to income tax payable under Amirl Decree No.22/1979. The DTA outlines permanent establishment, capital gains and business profits rules. Dividends are exempt from withholding tax and royalties are too.
