Additional TIEAs are to enter into force thereafter: the agreement with the Faroe Islands on April 3, 2012; with Finland on April 4, 2012; and with Greenland on April 13, 2012.

The United Kingdom and Liechtenstein initialled a DTA on February 7, 2012. The agreement provides for the exchange of tax information in line with international standards. The agreement is expected to be in force by January 2013.

The German Finance Ministry has confirmed that the initalling of a DTA with Liechtenstein took place on August 16, 2011. The treaty is expected to be signed by the end of the year.

Hong Kong's Inland Revenue Department has announced that the DTA with Liechtenstein entered into force on July 8, 2011. The DTA was signed on August 12, 2010 and will have effect in Hong Kong from April 1, 2012.

According to preliminary media reports, Sweden ratified its TIEA with Liechtenstein on May 19, 2011. The TIEA was signed on December 17, 2010.

According to the Liechtenstein government, a Double Tax Agreement with Hong Kong was ratified by both parties on July 8, 2011, bringing the agreement into force. The treaty will be effective from the fiscal year 2012.

According to the Liechtenstein government, a TIEA with Australia was signed on June 21, 2011. The TIEA is OECD compliant and provides for the exchange of tax information upon request. The government has said that the TIEA will apply to requests submitted after its entry into force, with respect to tax years commencing on or after July 1, 2011. The TIEA is subject to legislative approval.
