HM Revenue and Customs has confirmed that the DTA Protocol signed between the UK and the Netherlands on June 12, 2013, entered into force on December 13, 2013. The agreement will be effective in the UK from April 1, 2014, for corporation tax, and from April 6, 2014, for income tax and capital gains tax.

Vodafone Ordered To Pay Deposit By Indian Court 17/11/2010
After agreeing to hear an appeal in February 2011, the Indian Supreme Court has requested a deposit of INR25bn (USD552m) from the Vodafone Group Dutch holding company within three weeks and a bank guarantee of INR85bn within two months. In the meantime the tax authorities are restrained from enforcing their tax claim against Vodafone.
