The treaty was signed on June 5, 2009. In Bahrain the DTA covers income tax payable under Amiri Decree No.22/1979. In Uzbekistan, the treaty covers the tax on income (profit) of legal persons, individual income tax, and property tax. The treaty contains residency, permanent establishment, immovable property income, business profit, international transport rules, and provides for the elimination of double taxation and for the exchange of information, and has a mutual agreement procedure. Dividend withholding tax is charged at 8%. Interest withholding tax is charged at 8%. Royalties withholding tax is charged at 8%.
