Bahrain - Austria

The DTA was signed on July 2, 2009. In Bahrain, the treaty covers income tax payable under the Amiri Decree No.22/1979, and in Austria, it covers, income tax, corporation tax, land tax, tax on agricultural and forestry enterprises, and the tax on the value of vacant plots. The treaty contains residency, permanent establishment, immovable property income, business profit, pensions and international transport rules, and provides for the elimination of double taxation and for the exchange of information, and has a mutual agreement procedure. Dividend, interest and royalties withholding taxes are not charged.
