During a meeting on March 29, 2018, representatives from Kenya and Mozambique agreed the two countries should agree a DTA.
Representatives from the United Arab Emirates and Mozambique have agreed to speed up negotiations towards a double tax agreement, during a Dubai Chamber trade mission to Mozambique on May 8.
The DTA was signed on September 30, 2010. Dividend withholding tax will be charged at 7.5%. Interest and royalties will be subject to 10% tax. The DTA also contains provisions for the exchange of information.
The agreement provides for the exchange of information to the OECD standard.
