Malta and Vietnam signed a DTA on July 15, 2016.

Hong Kong - Vietnam


A DTA Protocol between Hong Kong and Vietnam became effective on April 1, 2016, in Hong Kong. It has been effective in Vietnam since the beginning of the year.

On March 1, 2016, in a rare update, the Vietnamese tax authority confirmed the country's recent DTAs with Mozambique, Kazakhstan, San Marino, Serbia, Uruguay, Turkey, Iran, Macedonia, Portugal, and the US are not yet effective.

The Government of Hong Kong on February 23, 2015, confirmed that a second Protocol to the DTA with Vietnam entered into force on January 8, 2015, and will become effective in Hong Kong for years of assessment beginning on or after April 1, 2016.

Macedonia signed a DTA with Vietnam on October 15, 2014.

Vietnam - Iran


Vietnam signed a DTA with Iran on October 14, 2014.

Vietnam and Turkey signed a DTA during four days of meetings concluding on July 9, 2014.

Portugal - Vietnam


According to a Portuguese Finance Ministry release, dated June 20, 2011, the negotiations on a DTA have been concluded. The government hopes to sign the agreement by the end of the year.
